• Since 1985, hundreds of writings of Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui have appeared in various English and Urdu dailies & periodicals, published from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Kuwait and UAE.
• Some of them are: Daily Dawn, Daily News, Star, Pakistan Observer, The Mag weekly, The Message International, Daily Jang, Daily Express, Nawai-Waqt, Jasarat, Ash-Sharq International, Muqadma, She Magazine, Family Magazine, besides others.
• Topics were: International politics, sports, Islamic history, history of Sindh, Urdu language & literature, television reviews, interviews and miscellaneous research-based articles.
• Sohail’s regular column in Daily Express, ‘ZabaaN-fehmi’ (started in 2015) has been very well received by the concerned quarters.
• Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui had proposed the official slogan of Daily Muqadma: “Her Khabar Ahm Khabar-Hum heiN Tez-Tur”, besides writing few initial editorials, in 2008 and 2010.
• He had introduced and encouraged many a people, in this field too. The most famous is Syed Saleem Shahzad, a distant cousin of Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui, introduced to the Magazine Editor of Daily News, Sana Bashir, after giving due corrections to his first article, way back in 1994-95. Saleem later became an established English journalist of Pakistan.
• Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui had introduced many promising players to the Press, including Rashid Latif, the world-class wicket keeper and former captain of Pakistan cricket team & Ahmad Alam, the former captain/goal-keeper of Pakistan hockey team.
• Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui had broken the news that Syed Asfar Jamal was the youngest Pakistani scientist to have landed at Antarctica, in the maiden expedition in 1995. Sohail had managed to promote him through English and Urdu Press.
• He had first covered famous TV host, Nadia Khan and brought her to lime light, when the PRO of NTM, Farooque Paracha asked him to cover their new transmission segments, especially, NTM Daak-Time, hosted by young Nadia, along with Khadija, another new comer.
• Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui is the first journalist to have penned down articles on the burning issues of Bosnia, Chechnya, Crimea, Nagorno-Karabakh, Moldova, Dnester, etc. for Daily News & Daily Jang. He has got some 12 articles, exclusively on ‘Rump’ Yugoslavia to his credit; a rare feet by a Pakistani journalist.
